precursor: html

there's no dispute that html has driven the majority of progress on the internet over the past 30 years. html falls short of our own encoded memories, however. it is exceedingly difficult to communicate an idea measured in MB or GB using html. phext solves this by ensuring that a vast web of intralinking can take place.

while html also allows for in-page links, it does not scale to petabytes of information. web pages simply weren't designed for the agi era. phext was built from the ground up for it.
