archives

archives have traditionally been binary files. there's no consensus on how to merge documents of different file types. at least, there wasn't ... until phext came along. phext allows you to encode files easily by placing them into a hierarchy of plain text using an expanding universe of delimiters. i started working on a tar-like command at the end of 2022 called tersify, but haven't completed it yet. i need to re-visit it using libphext (see below).
